A successfully implemented project is presented. The project target was the standardization of the recruiting process across multiple stakeholders and locations of an automotive supplier. Starting with a diverse initial situation at the various locations, "the best from all locations" was brought together and transferred into a new, shared approach. Convincing, involving and training numerous stakeholders, HR and recruiting managers was essential in this process. The result is a stringent and professional applicant management process that makes it possible to generate customized and at the same time standardized interview guidelines to match job profiles "at the push of a button". We describe our approach, important lessons learned (in the sense of obstacles and success factors), and possible application to other companies.
